GOG.com (Good Old Games) ist ein Online-Spieleverkäufer. Verkauft werden bisher ältere Spiele für Windows. Von einigen der Spiele existieren auch Linuxports (nicht getestet, weiß jemand, ob die Spiele mit den Linuxversionen kompatibel sind?). Ein Spiel(paket) kostet entweder 5.99$ oder 9.99$. Verkauft werden natürlich die Englischen Ausgaben.
Viele der Spiele aus den Achtzigern und Neunzigern sind bereits mit DOSBox gebündelt, da GOG.com alle Spiele für Windows anbietet. Diese lassen sich natürlich auch mit DOSBox unter Linux spielen, falls es keine Portierung gibt.

Ein GOG.com-Nutzer pflegt ebenfalls eine Liste mit Spielen, welche unter Linux funktionieren - macht allerdings keine Unterscheidung zwischen Nativen oder mit DOSBox/Wine spielbaren.

Auf Anfrage, ob sie nicht mal die nativen Ports für die Spiele reinstellen, welche auch verfügbar sind, gabs leider folgende Antwort:
I'm afraid that we're unable to release Linux versions of our games at this time, and have no solid plans for releasing them in the near future. Getting rights for existing Linux versions of older games, or preparing Linux-ready releases of them through emulation, poses significant difficulties in terms of manpower and legal considerations. Releasing Linux versions of more recent games might be something we can do in the long-term, though.
